NABVETS in the community:

In addition to our Outreach and Community Relations efforts, NABVETS PDX works with our members, the community and our Community Partners to address the issues of

* Housing and Homeless prevention

* Food, clothing, and related resource development

* Employment resources

* Youth mentorship and support

* Emergency Preparedness, Response and Recovery

Our Community Outreach efforts include, but are not limited to the following:

* Annual Veterans’ Day Parade

*Black History Month Celebrations and speaking engagements

* Memorial Day Commemoration at Willamette National Cemetery

* Multnomah County Veterans Task Force and Executive Committee

* Thanksgiving and Christmas / Holiday Meals

* Holiday Toy Give-away for children in need of basic and additional support
